Service & Installation Technician (USA)
About Austco
At Austco Healthcare, we build technology that genuinely makes a difference.
We’re a global healthcare communications company that designs and delivers advanced nurse call and clinical communication systems used in hospitals and healthcare facilities around the world. Our technology helps nurses, caregivers and healthcare teams respond faster, communicate better and ultimately improve patient care.
Founded in Australia in 1986, Austco now operates across the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore and New Zealand, with our largest office being based in Dallas, Texas.
But what really makes Austco special is our people.
We’re a passionate, driven and down to earth team who genuinely care about what we do. We work hard, solve problems together, support each other and celebrate wins as a team. You’ll work alongside smart, experienced people who are always willing to jump in and help, while also building strong relationships with customers who rely on our systems every day in critical healthcare environments.
If you enjoy hands on technical work, solving real problems, working with customers and being part of a collaborative team culture, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is not an IT Helpdesk role.
This is a hands on hardware, software, installation and troubleshooting position working directly with healthcare technology systems in the field.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service & Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and supporting a range of healthcare technologies, including nurse call systems used in hospitals and healthcare facilities across the United States.
This is a customer facing role, with regular travel to customer sites across the U.S. You’ll spend a lot of time onsite with customers, supporting hospitals and healthcare teams directly, while also working closely with the wider Austco team.
No two days are the same. One day you might be commissioning a new hospital system, the next troubleshooting complex technical issues onsite, supporting a customer through a critical issue or working alongside project and service teams to deliver an installation successfully.
